St Cyril’s Rehabilitation Unit was developed by senior clinicians to address the national shortage of rehabilitation beds for patients with complex neurological and rehabilitation needs.
St Cyril’s Rehabilitation Unit is a state of the art facility, located in Chester, providing specialist accommodation and rehabilitation facilities.
The unit provides rehabilitation services for most acute and long-term neurological conditions, such as:
- Acquired brain injury
- Stroke
- Spinal injuries
- Multiple Sclerosis
- Neurodegenerative disorders
- Neuromuscular disorders
We also provide Specialist Rehabilitation Programmes for:
- Spasticity Management Programme (including chemodenervation)
- Low Awareness / Vegetative State Assessment
- Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS/ME) Rehabilitation Programme
- Specialist Multiple Sclerosis Relapse Service
- Chronic Pain Management Programme
The unit is dedicated to providing the highest standard of care and treatment for patients, their families and carers.
St Cyril's is also pleased to offer a number of valuable out-patient services, including spacticity management, a comprehensive physiotherapy service and a superbly equipped and spacious hydrotherapy suite. In addition, St Cyril's can also offer a portable neurophysiology service, including ectroephalography, sensory and motor evoked potentials, carpal tunnel and peripheral neuropathy screens.
