Admission Criteria

All Saints Hospital recognises the difficulties of diagnosis of Deaf people and therefore welcomes referrals for people who meet some of the following criteria:-

Deaf service admission criteria:

• 18 years or over
• May require detention under the Mental Health Act (1983, amended 2007) Informal patients for placement in open services Suffer from
• Mental Illness
• Personality Disorder
• Learning Disabilities/Autistic Spectrum Disorder/Development Disorders
• Referred from Courts/Prisons/Secure Hospitals/Open Hospital Units
• Have substance misuse problems
• Present with challenging behaviour
• Suffer with cognitive impairments
• Have difficulty maintaining residential placements in the community

There is special emphasis on enabling patients who require step down from conditions of security.
